The latest news that we hear is that

statement of expressing his willingness of help to J.Jayalalithaa. Previously,
Kerala Government has sent around 1.5 lakh chapatti made in the central prisons
of the state.
Apart from this, various voluntary
organizations, charity institutes, business groups and media houses have joined
the relief operations in the city. They started to send the most important
essentials like bottled water, food, clothing and much more.
Continuous power cut and lack of mobile
connectivity have made the communication process very difficult. There are
number of helpline numbers available for the people stranded in flood areas.
National Disaster Relief Force has initiated a special police intelligence wing
and people can contact them at anytime. Here is the helpline number:
18004253939, 047102770522.
The Non-Resident Keralites Affairs
Department (NORKA) has taken a great effort in helping the flood affected areas
using this toll free number. It is estimated that around 300 calls are received
every day regarding the details of victims. NORKA will check and immediately
forward the details to officials of Chennai for further action.
Let’s all join together and support the
people affected by flood! Already, the people in the city has started to show
